Smoke Ridge Cabin

Serenity at its Best !!!

Smoke Ridge Cabin  is located in a quiet area, surrounded by the mountains; offering one a sense of peace and quiet. While relaxing on one of its 2 decks or while sitting in front of a fire, one is secluded, affording one privacy and serenity.

Our Cabin offers: 

  2 bedrooms each with a queen size bed, each with its private deck and its own full size bathroom. One bathroom has a tub / shower combination and the other has a full size (5 foot long ) shower.

  A loft area has 2 twin beds with its own view of the Nantahala Mountains.

Plenty of room for 6 people.

Other amenities include:

    *For the chef in the family, a fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, gas stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffee pot, toaster, and cookware.

    *Don't want to cook indoors and miss the sunset, then fell free to use the charcoal grill provided right outside the kitchen door.

    *Central heat and air, ceiling fans, and a free standing fireplace for those cool mountain nights.

    *Satellite TV, DVD/VHS player, CD/tape player/radio unit

    *A telephone is available for emergency and local calls. May receive long distance calls, but one will need a telephone credit card or calling card to make long distance calls. Most cell phones will not work regularly in this mountain area. The phone number is 828-369-2310.

    *Washer and dryer are available for one's use. Laundry detergent and fabric softener are provided. We do ask that a full load is washed at one time. The water is on a well system and most precious to us.

    *A fire pit is located right outside the front door. One load of firewood is provided. It is renter's responsibility to follow fire and safety guideline to protect nature's forests. Additional firewood will be available for a fee.

    *Linens and towels are provided once. Bring your own towels for raft trips, outside creek use or for extras if you desire more.

Although , the cabin is a smoke free environment, one may smoke on any one of the many decks, while enjoying the breathtaking views of the Nantahala Mountains.

What to bring

Our mountain weather is unpredictable. It can be cold and wet at  any time of the year. A list of suggested items to consider bringing or adding to your grocery list is as follows:

  bath soaps, shampoo, Kleenix, paper goods, foil zip lock bags

  foods, spices, coffee/tea, etc

  BBQ charcoal, lighter fuel

  flashlights

  videos, DVD tapes, CDs

  extra towels, mud rags for swimming, boating, rafting activities.

  rain gear

  jackets, sweats for cool nights

  fishing gear, golf gear

  water shoes

  insect repellant / First aid kit

**Consumable supplies such as toilet paper, garbage bags, paper towels, dish detergent, and laundry detergent will be provided once.

**NO WEAPONS of any type, please

**Parking is limited to 2-3 cars. Special arrangements will need to be made in advance for trailers or any other equipment, or additional cars and pickup trucks.
